(giveaway post 2018) it's august the 3rd in Japan, which means it's.....

Honoka's birthday! deep breath HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONOKA! I LOVE YOU SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO MUCH THANKS FOR BEING A GR8 BEST GIRL!!!!!! ILL EDIT THIS LATER WITH FANART AND MUSIC AND STUFF BUT IM IN A RUSH JUST WANTED TO SAY LOVE U HONOKA and I'm gonna put HonokaBirthdayGiveaway2018 (incase it starts now) AAA

/////Alright here's the edited version!

Now for my speech. (cough, ahem, cough) alright...

Honoka wasn't my first best girl...When I started watching the anime and playing the game back in 2016, Rin was. And then Hanayo, and then Ruby, and then Yoshiko, and then Kotori...and so on. None of them gave the "lkdafjladksjfldj" "ILOVEYOUSOMUCH" feeling that I saw others get. I couldn't find a girl I could call "Best" and I kept switching, trying to find my one and only. They were all good, but only one girl was worthy of the honourable "best girl" title. That girl was Honoka. (cue dramatic music) I've loved her since this December and my love for Honk is still going strong!

(You can skip past this bit if you dislike long pieces of writing!)

All jokes aside, most of the reason why she's now best girl is because she inspires me a whole lot. She hasn't helped me recover from depression or guided me through a major life crisis, but her morals and story have stuck with me and helped me a lot.
To sum her story up, she was completely ordinary compared to her friends. She had a dream, and although countless people mocked it and told her she wouldn't make it, she stayed determined. She overcame her lazy tendencies and worked as hard as she possibly could to achieve her goal. And of course there were obstacles and issues, some her fault, some not, and she got knocked down and became angry and upset. It's alright that she did, because she's human after all. What matters is that she got back up and kept going. She learnt from her mistakes, apologised, and changed for the better!
I wish I could be able to keep going like Honoka does. Like her catchphrase, "Faito Dayo!" she has the determination and mindset to achieve anything she wants to. And what's incredible is that she started with nothing. Just her two friends, a slightly-less-than-average school she adored, and her own mind. I can learn a lot from this - I, like all people, have big aspirations and hopes for the future. I've worked as hard as I can to get to where I am now, and I still have times where I feel all hope is lost and I'm not worth anything. And I remember what Honoka did, and I try to keep going. And hopefully, some day I'll make it. I owe it to Honoka for teaching me some of the most valuable lessons a person could learn.

Alright, now that's done, let's talk about the non-serious fun happy reasons why I love her!

Firstly, her design and personality is just so so loveable. How can you not love this crazy orange twat who prances around dramatically all day long? She's energetic and can put a smile on anyone's face! She has her humorous side too, which I think everyone loves, ehehe. And despite all that madness, she shows incredible amounts of compassion towards her friends and the thing she loves, and works hard to get the results she wants.

And her music. The music has always been my favourite part of the love live franchise (I'm a bit of a music fanatic) and her voice oH MY GOD HER VOICE!!!!! HAVE YOU HEARD HER SOLO SONGS?!?!?!! I honestly can’t pick a favourite. First you got the two BD songs - these adorable lil sparkly genki numbers that cheer you up. Then you got Someday of my life - the cool, edgy electro one that makes you want to dance, but still full of passion, and finally you got the tear-jerkers. Both of Honoka’s solo album songs are gorgeous, and full of soul. Especially Mo Hitori Janaiyo - one of the first love live songs I heard and still one of my faves. Go and look up the lyrics of it and I SWEAR YOU WILL CRY! And she has so many gorgeous solos in the u’s songs there’s too many to even list so just imagine that I’ve written an essay about how beautiful her voice is okay thats enough

Also, I'd like to thank her seiyuu, Emitsun, for giving honoka that wonderful charisma we all adore. When muse was still together, Emitsun put her heart into the love live project and you could see she really cared about Honoka. She's so bubbly and energetic and kind and hardworking, I'm so inspired by her and how lovely she is as a person. (she also loves dinosaurs and Dino trivia which I find really cute owowowo)

Aaaaand here's the fan art I did - one old, one brand new. (I'm still a bit of a novice at pixel art so forgive me if I've fucked a few things up)

First piece: Since it's summer I drew Honoka in her pool outfit enjoying the sun looking all happyyy!

Imgur

Second piece: This is something I did a while back but is still something I'm proud of. I drew this when Honoka's rockstar SR was released, something I had been anticipating for ages, and adore.

And I don't really have much merchandise to take pictures of and show off, (I'm a broke gal) but that's okay because your love for your best girl isn't always measured by how much money you've spent on objects with their face plastered on. (Ironically though, I do have a poster and a nendoroid, and dream of having huge collections like other users on here).

And that's about it. Honoka, thanks for everything and I love you so so much! If you enjoyed reading, feel free to like the post uwu~ This is Tinymoon signing off, and once again, happy happy HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONK!!!!
