GUILTY, SHINY RASPBERRY TRAPPER

Late entry, but I'd been thinking about making this all year, and there was no way I was going to skip this contest.

Guilty Kiss fans may recognise this cake... It's the unholy glittery masterpiece Yohane and Mari came up with for their valentine's set... or almost. I COULDN'T FIND ANY STRAWBERRIES THIS YEAR, so instead I humbly present.... the RASPBERRY TRAPPER

Even the knife is shiny!

Since this has to be GUILTY, I couldn't just make the inside plain cake... so I made black forest cake, because what's more guilty than the association of chocolate, cherries, alcohol and cream?

The sides are covered in fondant and the decadent dripping top is... pure melted chocolate.

(And as a bonus, since the cake batter is marzipan based and not flour based, it's actually gluten free. Because everyone deserves to be guilty)

The puffs have cherries hidden in them! It's... a trap ;)

Some final pictures of the decorations. Everything is handmade except the little meringue drops (although I did coat them in cocoa) The castle, little demon and bows are fondant, the flowers are marzipan (rolled and sculpted by yours truly), the dark spiral is chocolate, and the lemons took a 24h bath in syrup so they could present you with this guilty shiny sheen. (And then everything is covered in edible glitter. Lots and lots of glitter.)

I hope this cake and its puff minions will make you feel as SHINY as it made my kitchen! It may have taken a lot of effort, but honestly it was really fun.
