WARNING: LONG POST // RubyBirthdayGiveaway2018

Here comes the long awaited Ruby birthday post!! I first found out about SIF when the Kunoichi set was being released on the WW server. It was a strange time where whole sets were being released at once and I didn't even know that the Japanese server was a THING. I played the game on and off for a while but never felt that strong of a connection to any of the girls from Muse. My best girl was constantly changing. First Eli, then Nozomi, then Rin, back to Nozomi, back to Rin. I had begun to lose interest in the game. I was in middle school, very compulsive, and could never manage to get up to 50+ gems as I would solo any chance I got. SIF slipped off and on my radar now and again until Aqours was released as a concept. I remember the early days when everyone was speculating who would have what personalities and who would be the main ship of the series (The new NozoEli). We didn't even know that the Kurosawas were related yet! At first I was drawn to Ruby. She was a cute character. I loved her hair. When the first Aqours rares came to WW I chose Ruby and adored her lines about her sister. She didn't have a voice yet but I thought she was super cute and that was all I cared about at the time. When the anime began, I didn't start watching it right away but I heard the reactions on Twitter. Everyone I knew was in LOVE with Dia and ChikaRiko. The first thing that got me to watch it was the ChikaRiko "I love you." scene that I saw screenshots of. When I watched the first season I fell in love with both the Kurosawas. I have anxiety and am generally socially inept and a little temperamental so seeing those traits being displayed in characters my age was really nice. The sisters were never treated like less than their friends because of their flaws. In fact I got to see them both grow and get stronger through the second season. For a while, my best girl status was an absolute tie for the Kurosawas. Before I knew it though, I was growing to admire Ruby. I felt so happy when she got the Punk Rock UR... She got to stand confident beside one of her closest friends and display a non anxious face! I know a lot of people don't like that UR because it seems "ooc" but for me it made perfect sense!! She was warming up to her friends and getting comfortable with their interests. Yohane's goth aesthetic always seemed out of reach for someone like Ruby but she pulled it off great!! To me it means a lot seeing such a nervous character have such deep relationships with people so... Different from her! It makes me feel like even if I don't always have everything in common with the people around me, I'll always find a place to call my own with people I love. Sorry that was so long and a bit angsty. I'll show some stuff I did for my darling daughter Ruby! First off, I did an aesthetic: I have a version without Ruby on top but I like having her there! Next up I did a desktop wallpaper with my dream Ruby UR (you guessed it, punk rock): I also tried to make a Ruby edit to my dream Muse UR but didnt end up having enough time orz. It was supposed to be Time Travel Ruby --> Cyber Ruby UR (nico). I'll definitely post it later when I actually finish it. Let's move on to my Birthday box scouts! We'll start out with WW because it was good but not As Good as JP tbh. Yay!! First step and already 2 idolizations and 2 new cards!! next up: Awesome! Already got an SSR! I was hoping I'd be able to idolize Valentine's Ruby but I absolutely ADORE all of her SSRs so I'm cool with this! Might even sticker idolize this one later. Also!! 2 more idolizations and a dupe SR aint too bad. Last WW step: HELLA! Ask and ye shall receive. One idolized Valentine's Ruby comin up! So now.... On to JP. We started off incredibly strong. I felt bad because I would only have enough for the first two steps but... Ruby didn't mind I think and I'll show you why: ITS MY FIRST EVER DOUBLE UR PULL!!!!! I actually screamed when i saw two come out. I scared my dog lol... Not to mention that I got her "Angel" and "Devil" URs!!! I made a post earlier with my hopes and getting Punk Rock Ruby was my highest possible accomplishment! I'm so so happy that my first double UR pull was of Ruby. I legit spent days prior laying awake at night daydreaming about getting a double UR pull in her box and... It actually happened! So now, on to my final pull for Ruby: yet another SSR to close things out. Funny, seeing how the idolized version of this card is what I was editing into a UR. In conclusion: This took me over an hour to write. I'm tired and more emotional I thought I'd be. I might not be able to whale for Ruby or buy as much merch as I'd like but I think Ruby knows that I love her all the same. Okay! See ya! GANBARUBY!!!
