How to spot a fake neso!!

Spotting a fake nesoberi is actually easier than expected! Some mistakes are more common than others and some are harder to spot than others. I actually own a fake nesoberi, and i knew that the second i opened the package that something was up. I had ordered a small Maki nesoberi from eBay and the package had arrived early and to my post office because it was "too big". I thought it was a bit weird as i only ordered a small one but i didnt think twice about it. I open the package and no, i don't see a small Maki neso, i see a big Kotori neso???

My first thoughts were "Nice! A big neso for only £20? Sure it isnt Maki but I'll take Kotori!!"

But things just felt off, now i know it was a fake neso and there are a few things to look out for in a fake neso;

• Checking for a tag:

Jumbo Nesoberi Honoka (7)

Make sure that your neso has a tag underneath the skirt when it comes because this is the biggest sign that it could be fake! My koto neso didnt have any tags anywhere.

• Checking all face features are correct:

My neso looks like a normal neso up until close inspection, it actually has Umis eyebrows!! I dont really mind this but still-

Have a look at all neso designs and check yours afterwards to check out wether your Rin has Yoshiko eyes or if your Nozomi has Umis mouth, etc!!

• The hair:

This is a bit hard to spot and i only recently realised on my nesoberi, but check that the front hair is in the right place. As most of you (probably) do know, kotoris bangs are slightly on the right of her head. However, my Koto neso has the bangs in the center of her head.

Just take a quick look on official nesoberi sites/pictures to see wether or not your nesos hair is in the right place.

• The stitching:

Usually, the stitching is very secure and not very visible. However on fake nesoberis the stitching is kinda messy and leaves big creases and lumps around the face, arms, legs, hair, anywhere really.

• The arms:

If the arms aren't attached to the head or if they arent properly stuffed then, chances are, its fake. But if you get lucky, hopefully the arms just detached in the mail or something.

• The colors:

Again, this is particularly hard to spot, but if you compare the colors of a fake nesoberis outfits you should be able to spot how there either brighter or darker than an actual nesoberi.

• Who sells fake nesoberis??

The most common fake nesoberi suppliers come from eBay or amazon, dont buy nesos if they're surpisingly cheap because you'll probably get scammed for a fake neso. Just buy figures, cosplay, nesoberis, etc, from official sites or sites you trust.

Just a site note, i still love my koto neso even if it is a fake one ♡.
