Maki Nishikino: Maki's character was designed to pop out, but she pops out just enough not to fall under the category of over the top characters in anime. She has peachy-white skin and beautiful red hair, with a tint of light pink so her hair doesn't clash too much with her colour palette. People often describe her as a 'tsundere,' 'TsunTsun' meaning to turn away in disgust and 'DereDere' meaning to become lovey-dovey.

Intoduction as a character: She is introduced while playing the piano. She was then slowly brought into the series. The first action that every fan remembers was helping out the members of µ's with music composition for their first song, sending them a CD with 'µ's' written on it. She was hesitant to admit that she was the creator of the music on the CD she used to record, but eventually warmed up and was at least a little bit comfortable with admitting she was the one who wrote the music. Afterwards, she joins µ's, becoming their composer.
