Howdy! I'm Kench, I've been playing this game since summer of 2016, and it's nice to meet you.
I'm a second-year college student who's studying a lot of things, including but not limited to Physics, English, and Japanese. To me, other interesting areas of study include literally everything else, but especially the other sciences/math, creative writing, the visual and audible arts (although I'm trash at both), and philosophy.
I am a huge Nintendo fanboy, and can talk for hours about Pokemon, Mario, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Smash Bros (oh boy do I love Smash Bros), Pikmin—you name it. (Except Zelda. I can't talk Zelda in depth.)
I'm a minor anime otaku, in the sense that I watch a lot (and I mean a LOT) of anime and love talking about it/discovering new series, but I don't buy too much merchandise. A couple T-shirts here and there, a print or two whenever I go to a convention (which I can only do once or twice a year), and that's it. I watch lots of comedy, shonen, drama, and sometimes horror. My friend keeps trying to get me into Gundam, but he's only getting middling success.
But that doesn't mean I'm not looking for new anime series to watch—Please give me suggestions! Favorite series include (but are not limited to!) Guren Lagann, Hikaru no Go, Madoka Magica, DanMachi, and Sakamoto Desu ga.
In terms of Love Live, all of the girls are great. I've definitely got my favorites, but that doesn't mean that I appreciate the rest any less! Umi might be best girl, but Hanamaru is just as precious and adorable for different reasons. They might as well both be best girl. Eli isn't too far behind either—she was actually best girl for a brief stint when I started the game.
Worst girl is Nico in the sense that she's the one I'm least crazy about, but even for her, I don't think any of the girls are "not good." Every last one of them has at least one quality or trait that I either admire and I think is cute/beautiful/pretty in some way. For example, Honoka's forgetfulness and lack of academic seriousness is a minus, but her genki spirit and can-do-attitude is great. I think Kotori is a bit too passive most of the time, but she's literally the nicest person ever to exist. Nico is WAY too brash and in-your-face for my liking (she believes her own hype too much), but I admire how much responsibility she carries every day of her life.
TL;DR, Even though I have my favorites, every girl is great in their own right.
I like hearing about Love Live news, but I generally rely on others to keep me up to date, especially since I have no social media. I'll definitely keep an ear out for anything that y'all are saying, though!
